WHAT WE DO
WE HELP FUND THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:
Lin Howe Boosters raises funds to provide one-on-one and small-group Instructional Aide assistance in our kids' classrooms.
Lin Howe Boosters is excited to help fund our very own full-time reading specialist. Marlene Gaines works with all grade levels giving extra interventions to struggling readers.
The Boosters-funded Linwood E. Howe Spanish Language Program is a Spanish language enrichment program that meets before school three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 8:30 am).
We fund 6 integrative art lessons to each class with art teacher, Angela Dyborn. These lessons are tailor made to each classroom, and integrated into the curriculum allowing students to express their ideas through writing, art, building, drama and creative movement.
GrowingGreat is a non profit organization who's mission is 'to empower every child to grow up healthy through science-based garden and nutrition education'.
Green Team is a parent run volunteer program focusing on the beautification and upkeep of our campus' outdoor spaces and keeping our school as environmentally friendly as possible.
Green Ambassadors is a student leadership program run by parent volunteers.
Lin Howe Boosters help fund the 5th graders' annual pilgrimage to Pali Science Camp, a three-day and two-nights of exploration, dissection (can you say squid guts?) and inspiration.
Math Olympiads is a program to stimulate enthusiasm for problem solving and mathematics led by Dr. Jason Frand, a retired professor and assistant dean at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Throughout the year, Boosters organizes fundraising activities. Our annual pledge drive and spring auction at The Culver Hotel are excellent ways to volunteer to raise funds to keep our programs running.
